Llandaff Cathedral Choral Society, formed in 1937, is a vibrant mixed chorus of  around 100 adult singers from across South Wales and from all walks of life, including students from RWCMD, Cardiff University, UWIC and Glamorgan University.

The conductor is Dominic Neville, a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he won a Choral Scholarship to sing in the Choir of King’s College.  He is an Academic Lecturer in Music at the National Conservatoire of Wales, The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and combines this post with conducting the choirs of Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral and its Choir School St. John’s College.

The accompanist is John Cheer who is much in demand as a recitalist, continuo player and accompanist.  He teaches piano and organ, is a Music tutor at the RWCMD and has recently been awarded a Master’s degree in Music Therapy.

We sing three major concerts with soloists and orchestra at Llandaff Cathedral each year, and we're always pleased to hear from prospective singers. We're a very welcoming and friendly choral society, and auditions are informal and relaxed.
